Ballinasloe Musical Society will perform The Producers in the Town Hall Theatre this March.
A musical comedy, The Producers guarantees an evening of side-splitting laughs and great musical numbers. The show is not for the faint-hearted as it contains some adult humour.
The Producers is based on a 1968 American satirical comedy film written and directed by Mel Brooks. The show is set in the late 1960s and tells the story of a theatrical producer and an accountant who want to produce a sure-fire Broadway flop. They take more money from investors than they can repay and plan to abscond to Brazil as soon as the play closes. However, their devious plans go awry when the show turns out to be a complete hit.
The Producers will run in the Town Hall Theatre, Ballinasloe, from March 1 to 5. For more information or to book tickets visit www.ballinasloetownhall.com
