Hilarious comedy The Sleeveens returns to Dean Crowe

Back by popular demand, comedy play The Sleeveens, written by local woman Margaret McKenna Mullan, has had audiences rocking in their seats with laughter in theatres the length and breadth of Ireland, and now returns to the Dean Crowe for two nights only.

The Sleeveens tells the story of Lilly McKeown, a well-off lonely widow in her mid-60s who is taken for granted by her three selfish sons. After a sudden shock, she returns to ballroom dancing where she meets Edgar Mulcahy, a younger man. Romance blossoms much to the dismay and disgust of her three boys whose only concern is their daft mother squandering their inheritance on this interloper.

If you enjoy a good night out, come and see Lilly McKeown have the last laugh on her boys.

Directed by Liam Curley and with stellar performances by No Fixed Abode Group, this play is a great pre-Christmas night out!

The Sleeveens will be performed in the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone on Wednesday and Thursday December 4 and 5 at 8.30pm. Tickets are €12. For booking contact (090 ) 6492129.
