The staff at Maxol service station Mullingar have plenty of cause for celebration, having been announced as staff team winners in the first phase of Maxol’s TLC Retail Awards 2013.
Maxol’s TLC Awards stand for, and recognise, Today’s Local Champions. The awards promote and recognise excellence in retail standards and customer care throughout Maxol’s network of service stations. Results were based on the Maxol staff team’s overall performance in two formal site inspections of the standards and presentation of the service station business.
Commenting on Maxol Mullingar’s excellent performance at the awards, Maxol’s regional manager Mark Walsh said, “Congratulations to our local champions at Maxol Mullingar for winning this top accolade. It is great to see the importance the team places on maintaining high standards both on the forecourt and in store. The provision of top-class customer service is a solid foundation on which to build a successful business and their recognition in Maxol’s TLC Awards is a great achievement and one for which they can all be extremely proud.”
At the beginning of the year, Maxol announced its five-year business development plan which will see the family-owned business invest €50m in the expansion of its all-Ireland service station network. The company also unveiled its new brand identity centred around a colourful logo, known as the ‘Brio’, supported with a new positioning line, ‘At the heart of it’ to reinforce Maxol’s traditional support of the local communities in which it operates.
