Pulsewave Ireland to offer heart checks

Pulsewave Ireland offer a new non-invasive heart check which utilises state-of-the-art cardiovascular screening equipment called BPro, developed by Dr Ting of Healthstats in Singapore.

The clinic will take place on Friday July 19 in the Sheraton Hotel Athlone and Friday July 26 in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Mullingar.

Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of death in Ireland, accounting for over one third of all deaths. Approximately 10,000 people die each year from cardiovascular disease including coronary heart disease, stroke, and other circulatory diseases.

Research indicates that there are additional parameters which are potentially more important than blood pressure alone at indicating if you are at risk of a heart attack or stroke.

The 15-minute BPro Screening carried out by Jim Leacy, certified BPro technician, measures additional factors including blood pressure at the heart; any damage and clogging of the small arteries; any advanced damage and stiffening of the large arteries; and arterial aging, non-invasively and accurately. It also ascertains whether your current medication is effective.

Your BPro Screening will also include a detailed report, with advice on diet and health solutions that can help enhance your cardiovascular health. It is suitable for anyone who has a family history of heart disease, kidney disease, or diabetes, who smokes, drinks, or is overweight, and/or participates in sport.
