Brian Tallon is our newly appointed deputy sales manager for the Athlone and Mullingar Advertisers.
Brian will be looking after local businesses in Mullingar as well as the prospering Athlone Towncentre shopping centre.
Originally from Wicklow, Brian has lived in Athlone for the past 17 years with his wife Paula and three children, Mark, Niamh, and Niall.
He joins the papers following a 20-year career in a variety of sales, trade marketing, and retail management roles for companies like Coca Cola, Diageo, IPOS, and most recently was regional manager for Spar Ireland.
Brian is very involved with local sport, coaching minis rugby with Buccaneers RFC and managing the u12 girls with Athlone GAA club. He is treasurer for St Mary’s National School, Athlone and involved with the St Mary’s parents association - and is a great advocate for supporting local organisations and business.
Brian is a graduate of DCU in communication studies specialising in advertising and marketing and he has a diploma in financial management from the ACCA. He is looking forward to bringing his knowledge and experience to help his customers in promoting their businesses.
