The two Midland underage teams will play each other on the grounds of Athlone Institute of Technology to mark the launch of the initiative which is set to see Gaelic Games restored to Argentina.
The match which will take place on Wednesday December 10 at noon will be refereed by Longford’s Derek Fahy, and the two teams will be joined by supporters from their respective schools. Managing Director of Capital Securities Corporation, Seamus Sheerin, and AIT and Midlands Gateway Chamber President, Ciaran O’Cathain will also be in attendance. Representatives from the Longford Westmeath Argentina Society will also be present to show their support.
The winning team will be acknowledged at the event to launch the scheme which will take place on Thursday December 11 6pm in AIT. Tanaiste Mary Coughlan will officiate at the opening with Nicky Brennan guest speaking.
