Hot summer deals extended at Bikram Yoga Athlone

The Irish summer may not be giving us the hot temperatures we wish for but that is no reason to be cold this summer as you can stay hot at Bikram Yoga Athlone.

Bikram Yoga Athlone is almost a year old and to celebrate they are offering some fantastic summer deals for August. Their €49 introductory offer of 30 consecutive days of yoga continues for first-time visitors to the studio, but for those who have fallen off the wagon and want to get back into class, or if you want to increase your number of weekly classes for summer, there are some great deals on offer.

Buy one month of unlimited Bikram Yoga for €120 (normally €160 ) or buy two months unlimited Bikram Yoga for €200. These offers end August 31. Your 30 or 60 days start on the day of purchase, and the offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

If that doesn’t suit, buy a 10-class card for €130 and get three extra classes free. Valid for 10 weeks, this offer ends August 31 and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.

With the Olympics upon us, there have been a lot of reports about the secret to the perfect physiques of some of the fittest athletes in the world, and it’s Bikram Yoga. A growing number of elite athletes have been incorporating it into their training regimes in their quest for gold medal success.

Tennis star Andy Murray, basketball players Luol Deng and Eric Boateng, as well as top sprinter Christian Malcolm are all fans of the 90-minute yoga class. Bikram Yoga studios have also welcomed a number of hopefuls training for future Games, including long distance runner Justina Heslop and beach volleyball’s Robin Miedzybrodzki.

For those unfamiliar with the hot new fitness trend, the class takes place in a room heated to 40 degrees celsius and consists of a sequence of 26 repeated postures along with two breathing exercises.

Thanks to the heat and humidity, a person can expect to burn over 600 calories at each session and the unique environment helps reduce the risk of injury, allowing muscles to stretch further without any aches or pains the following day.

This type of yoga is practised by a wide range of people regardless of their age, shape, fitness, or gender.

Please note the 4.30pm classes on Tuesday and Thursday are suspended for August, resuming again in September.
