A night of trad with Garry Walsh

Irish Music Magazine has called Garry Walsh one of Ireland's most talent flute and whistle players, so it is with great honour that the Passionfruit Theatre presents a night of traditional Irish music of

the highest quality.

Garry released his debut album, entitled Uncovered, in 2004 with Ossian

Publications in Cork. On the basis of this album and its popular reception, Garry received the backing of the prestigious Claddagh Records, with whom he released his second album, Penny Trumpets. On the album he is accompanied by some of the most talented musicians in Ireland, Maire Breatnach on fiddle, Colm Murphy on bodhran, Jim Murray on guitar, and Garvan Gallagher on double bass. The album also saw Garry pen his own songs, something which he has done much more of in recent times.

Garry will be accompanied at Passionfruit next Friday November 14 by Michelle O’Brien and Donnacha Moynihan.

Tickets, costing €15, are available by emailing [email protected] or calling (086 ) 3338457.
