Ríona Sally Hartman will perform an intimate gig in The Olive Grove on Friday June 17.
She began performing as a solo artist in 2008 and in the short period of time since then has grown a considerable fan base in her native Dublin. Following her well-received tour of Ireland in the summer of 2010 Ríona released her debut CD Sealegs. Since then Sealegs has been garnering praise from critics and audiences alike in particular for the single 'Seasnail', a deceptively sweet sounding waltz broaching the grainier side of love.
Ríona Sally Hartman’s live band showcases some of the brightest young minds of the Dublin music scene, each musician with a firm dedication to their craft and with backgrounds in genres as far reaching as jazz, classical, and klezmer. Ríona has become known for her eclectic musical influences, and honouring them through a unique pop aesthetic.
Ríona plays The Olive Grove, Athlone on Friday June 17 at 8pm, admission is €10. For more information call (090 ) 6476946.
