Kilmartin N6 and The Grove - making a real difference to those experiencing homelessness

Over the course of the last year, Kilmartin N6 and The Grove service stations have been making a real difference to people who are experiencing homelessness right throughout the Midlands by helping to raise over €5,000 for the Midlands Simon Community.

The funds raised will go directly to the Midlands Simon Community and their fight to eliminate homelessness in the Midlands.

Midlands Simon Community helps people to move out of homelessness by providing emergency accommodation, supporting people to source accommodation, assisting people to move into their new home, and providing a range of supports to people to help people maintain their new home.

CEO of Midlands Simon, Tony O’Riordan, said “We could not provide these essential supports without the type of assistance and partnership we have received from all in Kilmartin’s and for that reason we would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff in both Kilmartin N6 Service Station and The Grove Service Station for their tremendous efforts and especially to Damian and Rachel Kilmartin for their simply fantastic support. We are extremely grateful. It is fantastic to see such willingness on the part of the business community to support those in the local community who need help.”

Speaking at the presentation of the monies raised Damian Kilmartin said “We are delighted to be in a position to help the Midlands Simon Community. We and our 50 staff members from both service stations are committed to doing so in the future.

“It was important to all of us to know that the funds raised were to support people in our own local community. We would like to thank all our customers in both of our service stations for supporting us in our efforts to help others; without our customers it would have been impossible to make the donation.”
