Ballet Theatre UK bring Cinderella to Athlone

Ballet Theatre UK is delighted to present its all-new production of Prokofiev’s classical ballet, Cinderella, at the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone on Thursday February 24 2011 at 8pm.

This stunning new production includes glittering stage sets, beautifully handcrafted costumes, and a company of talented professional dancers.

Ballet Theatre UK’s new production of the classic ballet, Cinderella, tells everyone’s favourite rags-to-riches story.

Artistic director, Christopher Moore, has created a new ballet of original choreography, set in the fashion houses of Paris.

Cinderella is tormented by her spiteful stepsisters. Rejected, upset, and alone, Cinderella can only watch as others wear the beautiful dresses she toils over. She would love to attend the Prince’s glamorous ball but she only has a dress of rags.

Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother works her magic and transforms her into a glittering Princess who is escorted by glittering stars to the ball.

Prokofiev’s uplifting score together with sumptuous costumes and sets conjure up the magical fantasy world of Cinderella perfectly.
