Snap Printing Athlone scoop national award

Snap Printing Athlone received one of the highest accolades in the Irish printing industry when they scooped the top award in the Digital Print category of the Print of the Year awards in Dublin at the weekend.

The company’s winning entry was selected from entries from printing companies across the 32 counties and is the most prestigious award ceremony for the print and packaging industry in Ireland.

Designed and printed by Snap Printing, the winning entry ‘Wineport Lodge Treatment Suite Brochure’, was selected by the judges for the top honours. Snap is located on Pearse Street, employs eight people, and specialises in marketing services, graphic design, and promotional print and was a previous finalist in 2007.

The Irish Print Awards, now in its 33rd year, was celebrated at a glittering Oscars style ceremony in Dublin’s Four Seasons Hotel.

The awards, which are judged by independent experts in the print sector, recognise and reward the quality of design, printing, and finishing involved in the production of a wide range of printed material, such as newspapers, magazines, books, and marketing collateral.

Referring to the win by Snap Printing Athlone, Maev Martin, editor of Irish Printer, said that “given the current difficult trading conditions for everyone in business, Irish design and print companies can be proud of the fact that they have remained steadfast and refused to compromise on quality and Snap Athlone is a perfect case in point.”

Snap Printing Athlone is run by Aengus and Lisa O’Rourke, who opened this centre in 2005 and have established a very good reputation in the Midlands in that short time. “To have won this award is a great honour but I am happiest for my staff who have always put the customer and quality first, so there is no doubt but that this award was won by them, they really do deserve all the credit. The Snap group are also delighted with our win and together we will be leveraging this award to further grow our business while continuing to focus on quality, value, and personal service.”
