Snap Printing Athlone up for national award

For the second time in three years Snap Printing Athlone has been selected as a finalist at the National Print Awards 2010. The Oscars style event is being held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Dublin on November 26 and will see the very best print companies in Ireland vying for the top awards.

For only the second time in Snap Printing’s 27-year presence in Ireland, a Snap centre has been selected from the group of 24 centres nationwide, and on both occasions it has been Snap Printing Athlone.

The awards, which are judged by independent experts in the print sector, are a key recognition of quality in the printing of newspapers, magazines, books, and commercial print work.

Snap Printing Athlone is run by Aengus and Lisa O’Rourke, who opened this centre in 2005 and have established a very good reputation in the Midlands in that short time. “This award has taken us by complete surprise, we were not expecting it at all. This news was greeted with even more excitement than our first in 2007 because it is very unusual to be selected twice and in such quick succession.”

Aengus leads a busy life, managing Snap Printing while juggling a busy family life with four young children and serving as a local councillor on Athlone Town Council.

Aengus continues, “Credit for this win is down to my team. As a team we endeavor to improve all the time both operationally and technologically. At the same time we strive every day to exceed our customers’ expectations with every job we take on. We are also one of the only ISO approved print companies in the Midlands – so our focus is very much on being right first time.”
