Opportunity to become Ms Planet Beach comes to Mullingar

Planet Beach Ireland has launched its search for the Ms Planet Beach Spokesmodel 2010, and the search comes to the Annebrook House Hotel on August 14.

The winner of this prestigious title will receive a fully paid trip to Reno Nevada this October to compete in the international finals where the winner receives $100,000 in cash, a free Planet Beach franchise worth $30,000, plus a modeling contract for one year.

Last year’s lucky Irish winner, Tania Zorrilla from Ballsbridge won an all expenses paid trip to the final in Biloxi, Missisippi where she competed against the US and UK finalists. The high profile event is hosted big Ali Landry, Miss USA 1996, actress, and Doritos Girl; and Lorenzo Lamas, actor, director, and producer best known for his role in Grease and the television series Falcon Crest.

Ms Planet Beach International supports Make it Right, a charitable organisation founded by Brad Pitt to rebuild eco-friendly homes in the Katrina-devastated Ninth Ward area of New Orleans. Last year 65 contestants from the United States, Canada, Italy, Ireland, and the United Kingdom raised funds with online voting to support Planet Beach's efforts to fund a sustainable home for a family in need.

The winner plus two runners up for each of the Irish heats will go forward to the grand final which will be held at Pure Night Club at the Burlington Hotel on Saturday August 29.

Celebrity judges include Killian O’Sullivan, Lorcan from Fair City DJ on Dublin’s FM104, Top Irish Model, Sara Kavanagh and Jennifer Maguire from The Apprentice and Failte Towers.
