Have a superfun day at the New Bands Showcase

SuperKidd Promotions hosts its inaugural New Bands Showcase on Saturday July 25 in The Stables, Mullingar intending to highlight the abundance of talented young bands appearing on the scene. Presenting musicians from all around Ireland performing in genres ranging from punk and metal to rap and rock it is sure to provide a stellar day of entertainment.

Acting as MC on the day, in addition to performing his own material, is Dundalk rapper Tre. Likened by many to a young Kanye West his lyrical sharpness will no doubt keep those in attendance entertained during breaks between bands.

Performing at the gig will be rising star Mark Conway accompanied by his band. After experiencing great success in the recent Dublin soul festival the Tullamore native brings his band to The Stables for the first time. Dublin act Harrows also make their way to The Stables for the first time to showcase their brand of alternative rock much akin to The Strokes. Highly sought out for gigs, 2009 has been their break out year including gigs in The Button Factory, the RDS, and Whelans.

County Kerry provides two acts on Saturday night, hardcore metal act Sever the Nerve and punk rockers Blank. Both bands will be keen to represent their county with pride and prove why they are the future of Munster music so they will be going all out with their brands of musical madness. Hailing from "somewhere in the Midlands" Anderson Mesa are the mystery men of no fixed abode who will take their rockin' ways to The Stables on the day intent on proving that they are the next big thing on the Irish music scene. Carlows Free Fall Angel are widely regarded for their songwriting ability and will be demonstrating why on Saturday July 25 in The Stables.

Completing the line up are Mullingar’s own Ever This Day, together since 2008 they are ready to add their names to the list of popular acts who have emerged from here in recent years such as The Blizzards, Darragh J Glennon and Joe Dolan.
