Chapterhouse Theatre Company’s very special 10th anniversary season of open-air theatre visits Ireland this summer, stopping off in Roscommon on Saturday July 25 with a magical production of Cinderella.
Performed in the grounds of the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon, this will be a magical treat for all the family. Picnic in the beautiful garden surroundings to watch this company of travelling players bring alive the romance and magic of this powerful and well-loved tale.
Cinderella is a lovely interpretation of this wonderful classic that encompasses all the fun and excitement of one of the best fairytale stories. Follow the adventures of Louisa and her friends who find fun and song in enacting this wonderful story. The result is a splendid piece of storytelling in a style that comes close to the Famous Five whilst still celebrating the original fairytale romance.
Full of magical pumpkins, perfect princes and the thrill of the ball, the children lose themselves in this sparkling tale of friendship, fun, and fairy godmothers. The show is just long enough for the children to enjoy, at around one and a half hours, and includes a fairytale fancy dress parade during the interval. Children are invited to come along in fancy dress and are encouraged to take part in the parade.
Following on from last years acclaimed and successful tour Chapterhouse is delighted to be performing open-air theatre in such a beautiful and atmospheric garden location in Roscommon. With the idyllic settings and captivating performances, Chapterhouse promises to present the most enjoyable afternoon of theatre.
