TG4 series, Beidh Mé Ar Ais’, is travelling the country looking for the next big attraction and they have set their sights on Athlone.

TG4 and Adare productions are back with the second series of Beidh Mé Ar Ais which features presenters, Sinéad Ní Ullacháin and Osgur O Ciardha scouring the country to uncover the hidden gems that everyone needs to visit. Both presenters are more than qualified for the task with journalist, broadcaster and award-winning podcaster, Sinéad, teaming up with Osgur, who is County General Manager for Locke Hotels.

The duo will be heading out to spectacular cliffs, driving hovercrafts through the countryside and doing yoga with goats and will be showing a whole raft of new activities and attractions that people can enjoy.

Readers will recognise this week’s feature as Athlone’s very own Hot Tub Boat, which provides luxury hot tub cruises around Lough Ree, and historic and magnificent Fore Abbey will appear later in the series.

Despite such a wealth of attractions, only one spot will receive the coveted title of ‘Ireland’s Next Top Tourist Attraction’, receiving €5,000 to help take their business to the next level.

Beidh Mé Ar Ais airs every Sunday at 8:30pm on TG4.
