Athlone GAA welcomes appointment of Games Promotion Officer to club

Athlone GAA has welcomed the appointment of Westmeath senior footballer, Robbie Forde, as the club’s Games Promotion Officer, Robbie Forde.

Welcoming the appointment this week, John Connellan, Athlone GAA, stated that Robbie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role.

“Robbie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role having completed a BSc in Sport Science with Exercise Physiology at TUS Midlands and is also a member of the Westmeath senior football panel.

“Robbie will be providing top class coaching to our underage teams while also working in the local schools to bring football to entire community of Athlone. A big part of Robbie’s brief will also be to upskill our voluntary coaches to ensure all our children receive the best coaching possible.

“We welcome the appointment to the club and weare really excited to embark on this journey with Robbie at the helm,”John enthused.
