Local Councillor, Frankie Keena, has expressed his pride as he visited FR O'Growney Park in Rosemount on FRiday evening to welcome home the returning Rose of Tralee, Rachel Duffy.

"It was with marvellous pride to witness Rachel Duffy from Rosemount winning the Rose of Tralee last week. Her achievement is so well deserved as she is just a lovely genuine person deeply immersed in her local community.

"We are so fortunate to now have Rachel travelling the world flying the flag as both Rose of Tralee and also Westmeath Rose. She is going to be a fantastic advocate for our tourism industry promoting our county and Ireland abroad.

"I would like to fully congratulate Rachel and her team on this major success and wish her every good wish in the years ahead.

"I had the pleasure of being in Rosemount last Friday evening to welcome her home. As always there was an excellent welcoming event arranged where an extremely large crowd from the local community and beyond were present to shake her hand & wish her well. We are all just so happy and proud of her," Cllr Keena enthused.
