Vibrant and talented line-up to the fore at Livestock Music & Arts Festival

The summer is here and with it LiveStock 2022 will imminently arrive - an exciting, new, family friendly, independent music and arts festival which will take place in Aughrim, County Galway on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2.

You will be welcomed to what promises to be a fun and relaxing experience with fantastic independent music, art, food, entertainment, and activities centred around the ancient ring fort at Liskelly Farm just a few miles from Ballinasloe (Exit 15 on the M6 ).

LiveStock Festival was inspired by a private event held in 2019, to celebrate the marriage of Galway man Cormac Jennings to Donegal native Sharon Sweeney.

“The idea of hosting a full-blown music festival to celebrate our marriage was a crazy idea, but we had great fun organising it. We enlisted the help of our friend Barra O’Flanniagh, who has a wealth of experience organising the Secret Village Festival and the event was such a great success and fitted into the land on the farm so perfectly that LiveStock Music & Arts Festival was born. Covid scuppered our plans for 2020 and 2021, but it also gave us extra time to prepare this great weekend," Cormac enthused.

LiveStock has national appeal with its roots firmly embedded in the community and is proud to support and promote original music from independent artists. Recognisable local acts such as the Galway Street Club, Fleadh Town, Evoke, Martin Staunton, John Conneely Inc., Tom Portman, Caravan Mamba, Bog Bodies and Evoke, form part of a vibrant and talented line-up which includes Kíla, Jiggy, Bunoscionn, The Barley Mob, Chase Nova Band, Oski Bravo and many more.

Alongside this stellar music line up, much more will be happening across the weekend. Workshops in West African drumming, pottery, iron forging, yoga, dance, meditation, a community weaving project will take place with an open invitation to members of the public to attend.

Watch traditional craft demonstrations such as pole lathing, iron smelting, long bow making or wander through the on site art exhibition, mini viking village or vibrant trade village which will be filled with quality crafts, handmade goods and delicious food vendors. There will be no alcohol will be on sale, but you are welcome to bring your own (no glass on site ).

Tickets are priced at €125 (inc booking fee ) for a weekend ticket price and includes a range of seminars, workshops and activities with free camping and parking! Day tickets are also available.

This two-day event offers you the perfect amount of time to switch off, relax and explore, so dust off your camping equipment, fill your cooler box with your favourite beer and enjoy the music, art, activities, and entertainment of LiveStock 2022!
