Dr Grace McClintock a most welcome addition to the team at Athlone Dental

A highly skilled and passionate general dentist registered with the Dental Council of Ireland and a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons with the Royal College of Surgeons in aIreland, Dr Grace McClintock B.A. B.Dent.Sc, Dip. PCD, MFDS (RCSI ), is a welcome addition to the staff at Athlone Dental.

Dr McClintock qualified with honours from Trinity College Dublin in 2018 and since then has remained committed to continuing education, honing her clinical skills in various settings so that she can provide every patient with the very highest standard of care.

She has worked in private dental practice, the National Coagulation Centre in St James Hospital, St Vincent’s University Hospital and Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin. She has also worked for the past year in the prestigious role of lead non-consultant hospital dentist in the Dublin Dental University Hospital, mentoring her colleagues in the management of dental emergencies and continuing to provide comprehensive patient care for adults, children and patients with special care needs.

Grace is a gentle, caring and supportive dentist and believes in empowering every patient, no matter how nervous, to take control of their oral health and pride in their smile. To this end, she has completed a year-long certificate in cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry and is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation with Trinity College Dublin, hoping to offer this service to her patients in the near future.

She is privileged to provide preventative treatments, dental restorations, root canal treatment, dental extractions, dental crowns, minimally invasive cosmetic treatment and replacement of missing teeth; including dental implant restorations, dental bridges and modern dentures.

Her approach in every situation is to provide minimally invasive dental treatment with a strong emphasis on prevention and promoting lifelong dental health – as much as is necessary and as little as possible, to allow your natural teeth to look and feel their best.

In her spare time, Grace enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking and being outdoors. She looks forward to working in the community of Athlone, which she has made her new home, and building trusting, lifelong relationships with patients in the state-of-the-art Athlone Dental practice on Castlemaine Street.
