Tickets selling fast as Hindsight Foresight for Gobshites makes Backstage return

There is great excitement building for the long-awaited return of Backstage at The Snug Bar with tickets selling fast for the forthcoming production of Hindsight Foresight for Gobshites.

Written by local playwright, Margaret McKenna Mullan, the first play to grace Backstage at The Snug Bar is naturally hilarious with the audience guaranteed a much needed night of laughter.

The play is directed by Moate native, Jackie Madden, who has brought new and very clever stagecraft to this fantastic production. Jackie has perfectly matched each character to a carefully woven plot with her tight direction which captures the essence of each punchline.

Another talented actor to join the cast of Hindsight Foresight for Gobshites is Pat Canty. Pat has many years acting under his belt with Moate Drama Group and Athlone Little Theatre and is well known for his acting in The Chastitute, The Cripple of Inishmean, and most recently Wittgenstien in The West.

Backstage at The Snug Bar is a lovely night out. Audience members can enjoy a pint or a glass of wine in the bar before the play while meeting with friends and even order a pizza instead of cooking dinner that evening. Some people like to bring a drink in with them to the show and drinks can also be pre-ordered for the interval.

Hindsight Foresight for Gobshites has an excellent cast which includes Paddy Broder, John McGlynn, Seamus McKenna, Pat Canty, Anne Hoey, and the playwright herself Margaret McKenna Mullan.

There are also two very important men who work tirelessly in the background to ensure the show is as it should be for the anticipating audience, namely Tommy Mullan and Joe Macken who are responsible for stage production, set design, sound and lighting.

This highly entertaining and fast-paced comedy play delivers relentless laughter and promises to be the perfect night out. Tickets are selling fast and therefore booking in advance is essential as there is limited availability.

Simply call 0892446546 to pre-book and tickets may be collected at the ticket desk on the night. All profits from the opening night will be donated to Athlone Access Awareness and a raffle will be held at the interval to raise much needed funds for this charity.
