Avid readers of the Athlone Advertiser will notice that the perennially popular Mary O’Rourke column did not feature in our last issue of 2021 or this, our first publication of 2022.
Mary is recuperating following a short illness which resulted in her hospitalisation during the Christmas period, but will hopefully return with her insightful weekly column in due course.
We, at the Advertiser newspaper group, would like to take this opportunity to wish Mary a swift return to good health and a peaceful 2022!
