Moate GC prepare to host men’s club Annual General Meeting

The Moate GC men’s club Annual General Meeting will take place tomorrow night (Friday, December 3 ) at 7pm, with relevant members issued notification of same via email in recent times.

Future Competitions

Week nine of the men’s club 13 hole turkey competition runs until Sunday, December 5. Category winners will win a turkey voucher but to spread the prizes around future participants will be on (-2 ) in the competitions to come.

With the WHS changes causing a little confusion please remember for the whole winter season the yellow tees will be in use and you must use your correct handicap.

The computer and label printer is now operational in the club so please enter your number on the computer to get a label with the correct handicap. You do not have to enter your 13 hole scores on the computer afterwards.

Be sure to mark separate cards for 13 holes turkey and winter league and remember you should not fill in your own card. Always swap with your playing partner(s ).

Course Care

With the course softening up it is more important than ever that all golfers take responsibility for repairing pitch marks and divots. Each player should have a repair marker with them with bags of seed/sand mix now provided at the first tee box. There really is no excuse for you not to take one.

Car Park Painting Fundraiser

If you don’t fancy walking from the bottom of the car park for 2022 why not enter the club’s fundraising raffle. There will be two spaces reserved for the winners (beside the trustee spots ) for the entirety of next year.

All funds raised will go towards properly marking out the car park in its entirety. With both the Par 3 restaurant and the course becoming ever more popular, there is the need to maximize the usage of the space available.

Tickets are now available in the shop @ €5 each or 3 for €10.
