Not only is Joe Browne an able and efficient manager of Buccaneers senior team but he is also a passionate and generous supporter of the club.

This was all in evidence at The Bounty in recent times when Connacht Head Coach Andy Friend was guest of honour at a very pleasant function in which he presented team gear individually to all senior players at the club on behalf of Joe’s company Bridge Transition.

Buccaneers president, Eamon Collins, welcomed Andy Friend on his fourth visit to the club. Andy was a good advocate of Buccaneerss and he loved Connacht’s slick and entertaining style of play. Eamon added that when Ireland is appointing their next Head Coach that Friend should be top of their list.

The president thanked Joe Browne and his company Bridge Transition for their very generous patronage with a full set of quality gear being presented to every senior, junior and U20 squad member.

Andy Friend said he always felt welcome at Buccaneers. It was what he considered to be “a proper footy club”. The sizeable attendance of players present at the function and the Pirates recent match results did not happen by accident. It was all down to hard work, fine coaching and organisation allayed to player potential and progress. And there was a good environment at Buccaneers to whom he wished a successful season.

Bridge Transition is a professional services company providing advisory and implementation support to large enterprises. Founded in 2010 by Joe Browne, it works with large corporates on Business Transformation, Strategy, Restructuring and Turnaround.

Bridge Transition has been a regular sponsor at Buccaneers over many years.
