Sidero raises vital funds for Athlone India Covid-19 appeal

Athlone-based software, cloud and digital transformation specialist Sidero has raised €1,150 for Athlone Chamber of Commerce’s India Covid-19 appeal in aid of The Hope Foundation.

The overall campaign raised €5,000 from Athlone Chamber donations. The Irish-founded charity is dedicated to promoting the protection of street and slum children in Kolkata.

The Hope Foundation is providing care and support to children on the ground during the Covid-19 pandemic, as the need for medical supplies, basic necessities, and quality healthcare increases in communities affected by the virus. It has also created 52 beds for Covid-19 patients at its HOPE Hospital.

The funds donated by Sidero were raised by employees through an online campaign, which were then matched by the company.

“We are delighted to be able to contribute to the invaluable work that The HOPE Foundation is doing on the ground in Kolkata, and show our support for the large Indian community here in Athlone. It’s great to see how the business community has rallied around this fantastic initiative by Athlone Chamber of Commerce, and we hope it will make a difference to the lives of children in Kolkata,” Wayne Byrne, Chief Commercial Officer, Sidero, stated.
