Henshaw nominated for prestigious annual European rugby ‘Player of the Year’ accolade

Coosan native, Robbie Henshaw, is among the nominations for the EPCR European Player of the Year award.

Fifteen players are listed on the initial list with a quartet of Leinster players being the only Irish representatives. The list will be reduced to five players in early May following the Heineken Champions Cup and Challenge Cup semi-finals.

Underage rugby training to recommence

The Government of Ireland have announced that new public health measures are coming into place this month.

From April 26 “underage non-contact outdoor training in pods of 15 or less can recommence for all exercise activities outdoors, subject to public health advice at the time”.

Provisionally, this means only underage sections clubs and schools in the Republic of Ireland will be able to offer non-contact rugby training from that date.

All clubs and schools who wish to resume rugby must have an up-to-date Covid-19 Safety Plan - No Plan, No Play!

Best wishes to Charlie Quinn
