For the seventh consecutive occasion, Westmeath’s Fittest Company returns, an event which has proved to be a big hit with companies throughout the county, both south and north.

With closing date for event participation tomorrow, Friday, January 31, all interested companies are being encouraged to complete their competition entries promptly.

This is the event for you if you want to inject a little life into your workforce while promoting health and wellness in a company environment. Involve your chosen charity partner and get your staff out in force to raise funds all while having fun and getting fit. Teams of four will turn up again this year to battle for the title of Westmeath’s Fittest Company.

Participating teams will fundraise with the help and support of Midlands 103 for their charity of choice. Nominate your favourite charity and get on board! To date, this joint effort has raised just under €90,000 and with your help we hope to do even better again this year!

The teams will toe the line on the shores of Lough Ennell where they will battle it out to the finish line and try to follow in the footsteps of previous winners and current title holders, Westmeath County Council who have annexed the title for three consecutive years 2017-2019, preceded by O’Brien’s Motor Group in 2016 and Mergon International Group in 2014 and 2015.

Has your company got a team of four capable of knocking Westmeath County Council off their winning perch? It will take a strong, fit team to beat the reigning holders.

As defending champions, they lined up with a steely determination alongside teams from DPD, Annebrook House Hotel, Writech, Medtronic, Bloomfield House Hotel, Westmeath Examiner, KCI Manufacturing, Westmeath County Council, Trend Technologies, Chris Lynch Recycling, Shanette Sheds, Reilly Mushrooms, TEG, LIDL & Decotek Automotive Ltd. Are you up for the challenge?

Whether you want to take part for fun, for competition, for fitness or for charity, this is the event for you.

The momentum gained in the workplace is not just short term. Repeat company entrants know the value of this event and have reaped the benefits for months in the build up to, the aftermath of the training and the event day itself.
