Views sought for new County Tourism Strategy

Roscommon County Development Board (CDB ) is currently engaged in preparing a new tourism strategy for County Roscommon. As part of this process, extensive consultation is underway across County Roscommon both by means of one-to-one consultations as well as public workshops.

Three public workshops have taken place over the past fortnight with a further three to take place between April 21 and April 23.

The purpose of these workshops is to provide an opportunity for people living and working in the county to contribute their views and opinions with regard to the future of the tourism industry in County Roscommon.

A workshop for the Athlone area will take place in Monksland Community Centre on Wednesday April 22 at 7.30pm.

The workshop is open to everyone in the community with a business, community, or personal interest in tourism or the leisure sector.

This initiative is being led by Roscommon County Council and further details can be obtained by contacting the office of Community and Enterprise on (090 ) 66 37325 or email [email protected].
