AIT Sport unveils busy summer camp schedule

AIT Sport has announced details of its very busy summer camp schedule, which will see camps take place during eight weeks of the summer holidays.

The extensive camp offering includes: the very popular AIT multi-sport, athletics and multi-activity camps; an FAI Soccer camp; the Anyone4science camp, which covers geology, renewable energy, pneumatics and acids and bases; STAR camp, which involves drama and acting; Whizz Kids, which is all about web design and content writing; Designer Minds Camp, covering all things science; Learn IT camp, which teaches maths, engineering, robotics and construction through Lego; and a fantastic Real Madrid Soccer camp, which sees coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation train seven to 16 year olds.

Speaking about the camps, operations manager Karen Cunningham said: “Never before have parents living in the midlands had as many options to cater for all their kids’ interests in one location. AIT has the most extensive range of active and educational camps taking place in the Midlands this summer.

“Whether your child wants to be the next Robbie Henshaw, Christian Ronaldo, Thomas Barr, Saoirse Rohan, Albert Einstein or Mark Zuckerberg, we have a camp to keep them engaged. Aside from AIT Sport’s very popular multi-sport camps, we have also attracted some of the best camps in the country to AIT this summer.

“AIT Sport runs various multi-sport, athletics and multi-activity camps in our International Arena and outdoor track. Arts and crafts takes place in our graphic studios and soccer in our FIFA standard all-weather-pitch.

“AIT Sports camp leaders are qualified and Garda vetted and are the best Athlone has to offer. We ensure that each child has a great and unique experience no matter which camp they choose.”

The camps take place throughout July and August. For more information and to book your place visit
