Fred Cooke to play NUIG charity comedy gig

IRISH COMIC Fred Cooke, best known from Republic of Telly, The Savage Eye, and The Liffey Laughs, headlines a charity comedy gig at NUI Galway on Monday.

Also performing will be John O’Hare, Stephen Ryan, Declan Brennan, while Galway based New Zealand comic Danny Dowling will be the MC. The show takes place in the O’Flaherty Theatre. Doors are at 8pm. Tickets are €5 and all proceeds will go to Console, which supports people in suicidal crisis and those bereaved by suicide, and BeLonGTo, which supports young LGBT people. The gig is open to the public as well as students.
