Hi, I'm Kayla. I'm a singer originally from Connemara. My grandad was also a singer from the Claddagh. I have spent a few years away studying music and now I travel all over the country as a singer - Although nowhere so far is as nice as the city of the tribes. Well, joining Big Tom in Derry for Opry Dhoire on TG4 does come close enough! We are so blessed to have such friendly people and the best craic! Christmas in Galway is pure magic and it's my favourite time of year to be at home. I love singing at the Christmas market every year and it's a great time for family and friends to get together and enjoy the magical atmosphere the city has to offer. Whether its pints and a sing-song down in Monroes or a stroll through Quay street -There really is no place like home!

There is always something going on in Galway city it's such a young and vibrant city which makes us unique to other cities around Ireland.

I'm Margaret Gallagher and I currently live I Howth Co. Dublin and I'm Mary Mc Sweeney and I live in Galway. We originate from Bandon in West Cork. We own a business called Les Jumelles which means twins in French. We are twins but born on separate days! Mary was born on the first of December and Margaret was born on the second of December, after midnight, 6 hours apart. Galway is a real buzzing city, it has absolutely everything a person could want, I think the fact that it's so small in comparison to Dublin, ist perfectly compact, you really get to know your customers and the characters that make this city so young, fun and unique.

I had always wanted to come to the Galway but decided to do my undergrad in Belfast. When I made up my mind to do a masters, Galway was the only place on which my sights were set. As soon as I arrived, I knew that I was going to enjoy living in Galway. I loved it so much I didn't go home (Co Down) once during my first term. That was nearly four months (my parents were delighted with that). People make places and Galway has such a mix, it is hard for people not fit in due to the fact the people embrace everyone. The nightlife, the pubs, clubs, and grubs are probably the best in the whole country.
