Leslie Dowdall is the voice and songwriter behind the sound that was In Tua Nua, Mike Hanrahan is the voice and songwriter that is Stockton’s Wing, and they will be taking to the stage together in the Ballina Arts Centre on Thursday, June 15.  Following her stint fronting legendary Irish band In Tua Nua, Leslie Dowdall’s solo career began in earnest with the release of No Guilt, No Guile in 1997. The album won high praise for its creativity and featured hit single ‘Wonderful Thing’.

One act drama festival heads to Ballina

Starting next Friday, November 6, Ballina Arts Centre will host three nights of drama, with the first Ballina One Act Drama Festival taking over the centre. This event has been developed by a local committee and is aiming to establish a wide appreciation of drama in the area. The committee looks forward to extending a traditional warm Ballina welcome to all visiting groups, festival followers, and the local public.
