Galway City Parks achieve three Green Flag awards

Galway City Council has again achieved three prestigious Green Flag Awards, at the announcement this week by An Taisce Environmental Education Unit. The Green Flag Awards acknowledge Ireland’s best public parks and gardens, with Quincentennial Park in Salthill achieving the award for the fourth time, Children’s Millennium Park retaining the honour for a fifth year in a row and O’Sullivan Park in Mervue achieving the award for the second time.

At the third special meeting held in April we discussed two of the Quarterly reports for the period ending March 30 2018. I have said before that one of the more frustrating things for me is the problem of getting bogged down on unproductive matters such as minutes or enduring spells of pointless bickering which, in the long run only serves to prohibit us from dealing with unproductive matters.
