As a result of the Westport Airshow there will be a number of temporary road closures and traffic restrictions throughout Westport on Sunday, May 14. A comprehensive traffic management plan is in place to get Westport Airshow visitors in and out of the town as quickly as possible. The organisers of the air show are encouraging visitors to the event to travel sustainably, ie, walk, cycle, car share or take public transport. There will be designated car parks available for visitors.
The Rolling Sun Book Festival, set in Westport, County Mayo, is a quirky boutique festival that indulges bookworms and connoisseurs of music, song, and poetry. Set in the shadow of the ancient spiritual mountain, Croagh Patrick, it evokes the many layers of Irish culture in the best bardic and poetic traditions.
