World Champion O’Rourke becomes brand ambassador

Lisa O’Rourke, gold medallist at the World Boxing Championships, has just become a brand ambassador for J Keane & Sons, and collected the keys to a new Volkswagen T-Cross Life from dealer principal John Keane. Just turned 20 years old, O’Rourke is tipped to have a bright career ahead of her with the 2024 Olympics in Paris her next big target. She also stars at midfield for the Roscommon Ladies' county team. Sister Aoife is also successful boxer, having won gold at the European Championships back in 2019.

New car registrations marginally ahead

New vehicle registrations for June were down 22 per cent (2,154) when compared to the same month in 2021 (2,762), according to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry's official 221 new vehicle registration figures. Supply constraints are still a big issue with new cars, but this is expected to ease over the next six months.
