SPAR Corrib Oil Ballyhaunis and SPAR Corrib Oil Ballinrobe were among a small group of retailers from around the country which have been honoured at the fifth annual Top of the Tree Retail Awards. Local charities and groups across Mayo have received almost 54,000 meals to date from Tesco Ireland through its surplus food donations programme run in partnership with Irish social enterprise, FoodCloud. A wide range of Mayo based organisations including Claremorris Family Resource Centre, St Vincent de Paul Foxford, and Tacáu - Youth Café have benefited from the redistribution of more than 24,000kg (or 54,000 meals) of surplus food from Tesco stores across Mayo over the past two years.
