THE BARBER Of Seville, one of opera’s best known and loved works, will be broadcast live from The Met in New York to The Eye Cinema, Wellpark, this Saturday at 6pm.

On Saturday May 23, Backstage Theatre, Longford plays host to one of the world’s best loved operas, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville, presented by the prestigious UK Opera. 

It has been said that Rossini is the P.G. Wodehouse of opera. His characters get themselves into the most complicated scrapes and of course, mischief and mayhem ensue, while they all try to sort themselves out. Nowhere is this more evident than in his most famous opera, The Barber of Seville.

GALWAY’S OPERA buffs are in for a treat as one of Britain’s most highly-regarded companies brings a new staging of Rossini’s The Barber Of Seville to the Town Hall for one night only on Wednesday June 10 at 8pm.
