Every Monday night at 6pm, up to 12 players from the Brothers of Charity Services have been participating in structured tennis sessions with club coach Robert Johnson.

Castlebar Tennis Club is starting a new programme for adult beginner tennis players on Tuesday January 27 at 7.30pm. The course will run for six weeks and is designed for people who are completely new to tennis or who have not played in a long time. The course will cover the basics of tennis and will be organised by the new club captains for 2015, Thérèse Ruane and Jason Guthrie.

Children’s Saturday Tennis Club

A fun children’s tennis club will take place every Saturday from now until Christmas at Ballina Tennis Club from 3pm to 4.30pm. The club is for children from seven years of age to 15 years of age. Members €2, non-members €5, to register text (086) 3512412.

To celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities on Monday December 3, the Irish Wheelchair Association is holding a table quiz in Castlebar Tennis Club at 9pm. Tables of four cost €40.

Tennis Summer Camp

The annual Parks tennis summer camp in Claremorris will run for four weeks from July 2 to 27, €25 per child for the full four weeks. Racquets and balls will be supplied.
