The Fine Gael spokesperson on Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Deputy Michael Ring, said the proposal was to provide telemedicine facilities to allow Ireland's most remote island communities and medical practitioners access to doctors and consultants in specialist hospitals.
