There was great joy for the men of St Lachtain’s when they took the Intermediate All-Ireland hurling title by beating St Gall’s two weekends ago in GAA headquarters Croke Park. The Freshford side trained really hard for this win and their efforts paid off when they powered their way to a comfortable 3-17 to 0-10 victory over their Antrim counterparts.

Emeralds are the form team in the intermediate grade as they were always in control against a Conahy Shamrocks’ outfit that suffered their first defeat in nearly 15 months.

St Lachtains proved their worth last Sunday after they battled hard to take home the Intermediate silverware when they beat Dicksboro in Nowlan Park.
