Official statistics released today by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) show that new car registrations for the year 2015 (124,945) finished up 30 per cent ahead of 2014 (96,284). That was itself a 30 per cent increase on circa 74,000 units registered in 2013.

House prices in Mayo rises six per cent according to latest report

The latest Daft.ie house price report has indicated that prices in Mayo have risen by six per cent. The report found that house prices in Mayo between October and December 2015 was on average €122,000 which was six per cent higher than in the same period in 2014 and ten per cent higher than prices were at their lowest point.

New car registrations up twenty eight per cent

New car registrations were up 28 per cent (2,571) last month when compared to October 2014 (2,011). New car registrations for the year are currently up 30 per cent (123,670) on the same period last year. Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) were down 13 per cent (1,206) on October 2014 (1,392), but year to date are up 43 per cent (22,848).
