Respond, one of Ireland’s largest Approved Housing Bodies and service providers, have 184 new social and cost rental homes in construction in Galway. The organisation delivered 77 new social and affordable homes across the county last year.

Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Darragh O’Brien was in Galway on Tuesday to visit construction sites in Galway comprising 184 new social homes being delivered by approved housing body Respond, in partnership with Galway City Council.

Respond, an approved housing body and service provider, says that it delivered 77 new homes in Galway in 2021.

The CEO of the Midlands Simon Community Tony O’Riordan says there has been an unprecedented demand for their services, and those of other local agencies and the local authority.
