High success rate at The Connacht Property Auction

The first Connacht Property Auction of 2015 was held on February 26 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway. Of the 24 properties on offer via the auction company, 21 properties were successfully sold, giving an 88 per cent success rate. The auction team are now taking entries for upcoming auctions taking place on April 23 and June 25. The Connacht Property Auction is the only auction company in Ireland which does not charge upfront costs or marketing charges to enter a property into its auctions.

Munnelly wants money ring fenced for Killala projects

Fine Gael councillor Jarlath Munnelly has called for the proceeds of the proposed sale of 1.42 hectares of land owned by Mayo County Council in Killala to Killala Precision Components Ltd to be ring fenced for projects in the town.

This photograph of a single-deck horse drawn tram was taken in Eyre Square c1900. The American style dome roof top cover provided cover for passengers during the winter. In one of their books, Somerville and Ross described these vehicles thus: “The little one-horse trams glide along the shining desolate road like white-backed beetles.” This tram was painted in a battleship grey colour. The double-deck open summer trams, which needed two horses to pull them, were painted in olive-green and white.

Partners sought to operate the refurbished Naomh Eanna

A campaign continues to transform a former ferry, which plied the route between Galway and the Aran Islands, into a major tourist attraction. However if a financial plan is not established within a number of weeks there is a risk that the Naomh Eanna will have to be consigned to the scrapyard and Galway will lose out on an attraction which could, in time, be worth millions to the local economy.

iConnect acquires Screenway with the creation of 20 jobs

iConnect, Ireland’s Apple approved premium reseller has announced that it has acquired Galway company Screenway to roll out its Education arm in Ireland. The deal will see iConnect retain ten employees and create twenty new full-time Education Specialists positions expanding out of Galway and operating nationwide.
