The 90th Claremorris Agricultural Show will be opened on Sunday afternoon byJames Drury, star of The Virginian television series. James, who is on his first ever trip to Ireland from Texas, will perform the official opening at 2pm. A film crew from RTE will be at the show to record the event.

Fans of the iconic 1960s and ‘70s western The Virginian have been given an incredible chance to spend 10 days in Houston, Texas, with the star of the famous series – for an outlay of just a tenner.

Learning difficulties such as dyslexia, ADD, ADHD and autism are affecting thousands of children all over Ireland. These children are awaiting proper assessment with regard to their conditions, in the hope that treatment can be provided to enable them to overcome their difficulties.

TG4 IS currently re-running the classic TV western series The Virginian and the show’s star James Drury - who played the title role throughout the show’s nine year run - has now come to Ireland to meet some of the show’s many fans, as well as his own Irish cousins.
