With much anticipation the doors will open to the public at 10am with admission free. Jools Holland is excitable by nature, but when he spots a new artist who has what he considers “it,” his enthusiasm goes off the scale. To go by his reaction to Imelda May, she has “it” in spades. “I’ve got to have you on the show,” he told her after seeing her play live – and so, a couple of months ago, she duly found herself on Later With Jools Holland, wowing an audience who included Jeff Beck, Elbow, and Roots Manuva. Xmas Mayhem at the TF Royal

Sharon Shannon, her Big Band, and some very special guests including Imelda May and Mundy take to the road again over Christmas to arrive at The Royal Theatre Castlebar on 27 December. Sharon Shannon specialises in upbeat, up-tempo performances which will clock in at over two and a half hours in length and give a much needed reprieve from the doom and gloom hanging over us. Renowned for her collaborations with everyone from Nigel Kennedy to Johnny McEvoy, Shannon reunites with some great friends for this tour. Dessie O’Halloran from Inishbofin returns for the tour after a resounding performance with Shannon at Navan Live earlier this year.
