A new service, Dash, will allow students to get taxis even when they have no cash, bank card, or phone while ensuring the drivers get paid. Dash (Driving All Students Home) was created by NUI Galway final year Business Information Systems student Richie Commins and is currently available in Galway City and will be launched nationwide in January 2017.

O’Donnellan & Joyce auctioneers, as the old saying goes, is keeping the good wine till last with more than 60 properties going under the hammer in its Wild Atlantic Way summer all day auction. Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce said this auction, which will be held on July 22 in the Harbour Hotel, Galway, is the fourth Wild Atlantic Way property auction of 2016.

Immense success at O’Donnellan & Joyce auction

O’Donnellan & Joyce recorded the largest volume of auction sales this year to date, when it held its second Wild Atlantic Way property auction on Wednesday May 4. The company recorded €9 million in property sales on the day. Properties throughout the western seaboard from Galway to Donegal and Galway down to Kerry went under the auction hammer. The auction room in the Harbour Hotel, Galway, was packed to capacity with more than 700 people in attendance at the morning and afternoon sessions.
