Paul K to support Duke Special

Westport-based pianist and songwriter Paul Kirwan, alias Paul K, is to support Duke Special on part of his nationwide tour promoting Duke Special’s forth coming album I never thought this day would come. Duke Special will be appearing at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on November 30. Paul will be promoting some of his own material from his debut album which will be released in March 2009. Paul K’s brand of blues and rock-influenced piano playing has captivated audiences around the country. Director returned with a bang to the Royal Theatre Castlebar on Friday October 30. Their second album, I’ll Wait For Sound, was released in May charted at No 11 in the Irish charts and was preceded by the single, ‘Sing It Without A Tune’. Their second single, ‘Moment to Moment’, was released In Ireland in July. The band are due to tour outside of Ireland to support the release of the album in UK/mainland Europe on September 21.
