The Annual ICE Ball Christmas Party Night in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice takes place in Breaffy House Resort, Castlebar, on Saturday December 10.

From September 16 to 19, 60 people will take to 40 classic cars and travel 1,100 kilometres around the four provinces of Ireland in aid of Ireland’s first children’s hospice, The Children’s Sunshine Home/LauraLynn House, including a visit to Castlebar on Sunday September 18 from 12.30pm to 2.30pm where people can see the classic cars and have the opportunity to donate to the fund. The rally will also travel to Clonmel, Galway, Ballyshannon, and Monaghan.

Palliative Care Team presents Syringe Driver in memory of Margaret Madden to Ave Maria private nursing home, Tooreen, on Thursday September 29 at 2.30pm. Refreshments will be served and everyone is invited. The palliative care nursing team will have use of the driver to travel throughout the communities and nursing homes. It will be easily accessed 24 hours at Ave Maria

The annual South Westmeath Hospice Coffee Morning will take place next Thursday September 15. Each year in September, families and businesses all over Athlone host coffee mornings to raise money for the South Westmeath Hospice. People are asked to collect €2 for each cup of fresh ground coffee consumed.

The Castlebar Credit Union charity week for dedicated hospice home care service for children continues until Monday September 12. The proceeds collected by Castlebar Credit Union help fund work to support families with children who have life-limiting conditions.
