New teacher training courses from Green Lotus Yoga

Green Lotus Yoga is once again running its 200 hour foundation teacher training in January 2018 at The Yoga Shala, Gort, Galway. It is also offering a 300-hour advanced training for teachers and a variety of four day CPD trainings in yoga anatomy, yin, inversions, and tantra.

Galway’s first yoga festival to take place next week

One of Galway’s foremost yogis, Aisling Reidy of Optimum Health, is bringing the first yoga festival to Galway along with some of the country’s most accredited yoga teachers. The festival will run at Esker Monastery in east Galway from Friday April 28 to Sunday April 30. This is a full bed and board festival, so from the Friday to the Sunday, attendees will stay on site at Esker.

Yoga classes in Mayo for Nepal one year on

Yoga centres and teachers across Ireland will be donating the proceeds of their classes to ActionAid’s ongoing work in Nepal this June. Two yoga studios in Mayo will be taking part: Bonco Wellness will be running a yoga class on Saturday, June 18 from 10am to 11.30am.  Yoga teacher Aideen Ryan will also be running a class during the month of June, with the location and date yet to be confirmed.  For more information visit www.actionaid.ie/yoga-day.

Personal trainer Sarah Thornton and yoga teacher Laragh Cunningham are behind Yo!Fit, a custom-designed programme they guarantee will switch on both body and soul.

Mayo nutritionist to speak at Ireland's biggest wellbeing event

A Mayo nutritionist will reveal the secrets to postponing the ageing process when she appears at Ireland’s biggest wellbeing event, the Mind, Body, Spirit and Yoga Festival in the RDS, Dublin, from tomorrow, October 24, to Sunday October 26. Colleen Kennedy promises to grab the attention of all those who wish to defy getting older when she gives a talk at the festival about ageing at a cellular level. The Westport herbalist and naturopath, who runs the Body and Mind Health Centre in the town, has based her presentation on countries which have the highest number of centenarians with a high quality of life.
